Whilst specific terms of the deal haven’t been disclosed at the time of writing, this partnership will see SteelSeries support the organisation’s teams in DreamHack’s Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC) and UK League Championship (UKLC).
Jeff Simpkins, Managing Director of Barrage, spoke on the agreement in a press release: “It’s an honour and privilege to be working with a globally recognised brand like SteelSeries. They have a history of working with incredible talent and teams and with their support we intend to follow in the footsteps of those who came before us. SteelSeries products provide the quality, performance and reliability our players need to achieve glory.”

SteelSeries recently announced its sponsorship of BLAST Bounty Hunt in June, but its involvement in esports dates back to 2001. It actively sponsors the likes of FaZe Clan, OG, and Cavs Legion GC.
Hal Greenwood, UK E-commerce & Marketing Manager at SteelSeries, added: “We are proud to partner up with Barrage in the UK. With the UK playing host to ESL One and the FACEIT Major, and the rise of UK esports in the past few years, there has never been a better time to be involved in British esports.”
Esports Insider says: Barrage may be smaller than the other organisations that SteelSeries sponsors, but this definitely isn’t a negative point to note – it’s actually encouraging. Hopefully, with the peripheral manufacturer’s support and experience, it will continue to grow and represent UK Esports well.
