In his new role, Williams will be tasked with leading Dignitas’ internal creative staff and working closely with its production workforce. He will focus on the organisation’s design efforts in regards to brand positioning and messaging, and work with partners on a creative and content basis for activations and deliverables.
Williams spoke to Esports Insider about his new venture: “I’m excited to be working with the Dignitas team, and to once again support a brand competing in the LCS. Dignitas has a prolific legacy in esports; It’s both an honor and a privilege to lead their creative efforts. I look forward to the many projects our team has underway for 2020 and beyond.”

The career move reunites Williams with former Infinite Esports colleague John Spiher, who served as Director of Partnerships for the Houston Outlaws before becoming Director of Partnerships & Activations for Dignitas this past December.
Spiher said the following on the organisation’s hire to Esports Insider: “We’re building a better future for the Dignitas brand. Adding a Creative Director as talented and well-respected as John Williams ensures we’re putting our best foot forward as we continue iterating and innovating how Dignitas is represented through graphics, media, merchandise, and more. We’re proud to have John Williams on our team leading these efforts, and look forward to taking our brand to the next level.”
Esports Insider says: Esports brands are placing far more emphasis on content creation, leveraging the power of storytelling to engage with fans on an emotional level. Dignitas is obviously on a mission to recruit an all-star team to accomplish this, first with Jeremy Dempe and now John Williams. We have no doubt they will keep him busy.
