South Korean recording artist Oh Se-hun, better known by his performing name Sehun, has become a shareholder in Korean organisation SeolHaeOne Prince.

Financial terms were not disclosed. SeolHaeOne Prince is mostly known for its League of Legends presence, but also fields teams in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Teamfight Tactics, and VALORANT. In late-April, the organisation declared its intent to apply for a long-term partnership in the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK), which is slated to be implemented next year.

Kim Ok-jin, Manager of APE Sports, commented on the team’s newest shareholder in a release: “I think it will be very helpful to join EXO’s Sehun, which has established a global market in the field of entertainment, because [esports has] elements of sports and entertainment.”

Sehun is the latest recording artist to throw his hat in the esports ring by becoming a shareholder. Other high-profile artists with esports in their portfolios include Drake, Lil Yachty, Offset, Pitbull, Swae Lee, and Wiz Khalifa.

Esports Insider says: The beauty of esports is truly within its ability to bridge connections between gaming and a number of different industries. Music has always played a tune close to esports fan’s hearts, so while a globally-renowned artist investing in esports is certainly not new, it remains a great thing to see.
