The partnership will be activated on August 21st when Call of Duty League on-air talent – prior to the third day of the playoffs – compete against each other on Call of Duty: Mobile, as part of the ‘Mobile Special Exhibition.’ The activation will be broadcast on the league’s YouTube channel.
The Call of Duty League Championship Weekend boasts a total prize pool of $4.6 million (£3.5 million), with $1.5 million (£1.14 million) going to the team that becomes the champion of the league.

Sony’s Xperia brand joins TeamSpeak, MTN DEW AMP GAME FUEL, PlayStation, SCUF Gaming, ASTRO Gaming, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, Twitter, YouTube Gaming, and Metro by T-Mobile as a partner of the league.
Esports Insider says: Now is a very good time to get involved with the Call of Duty League for a brand, though it’s not obvious if Xperia will be plastered all over the broadcast for the Championship Weekend just yet. The players are the stars though, not the talent, so we can’t help but think this will be a limiting factor in terms of exposure for Sony’s brand with the mobile exhibition.
