The upcoming season is set to begin in November with participating teams competing for a share of €250,000 (£224,175) in prize money.
The league aims to return to offline competition in 2021, with events planned to take place at GIANTS Software’s own FarmCon and AGRITECHNICA, which will host the season finals in November 2021.
Christian Ammann, CEO of GIANTS Software, spoke on the news in a release: “We’re very excited to kick-off Season three and build on the successful foundation of previous seasons. Almost every aspect of game mechanics and competitive dynamics have been refined for the coming season
“We’re thankful to our engaged sponsors from Corteva, Intel and Nitrado – and of course all new and returning teams. We’re glad to have everyone on board and evolve even further.”

Corteva Agriscience returns to the FSL as its title sponsor for the third consecutive season while Intel and Nitrado become the newest additions to the league’s commercial portfolio.
Details surrounding Intel’s and Nitrado’s involvement in the FSL were not disclosed.
Defending champions Trelleborg Wheel Systems will be returning for season three alongside John Deere, Lidner, and Krone while rosters representing Valtra, farming machinery manufacturer Manitou, and Rudolf Hörmann will make their debuts.
Esports Insider says: Despite being one of the more unorthodox esports leagues, the FSL acquiring Intel and Nitrado as sponsors is impressive. Now entering its third season, it will be interesting to see the league continue to grow.
