Yann Salsedo, Head of Esports (EMEA) at Razer, commented on the agreement: “MAD Lions achieved some amazing results last season, in both League of Legends and CS:GO. We are looking forward to working with such a dynamic and energetic team, whose drive for success mirrors that of Team Razer.”

The partnership will be visible during the inaugural week of the League of Legends European Championship (LEC)  with the Team Razer logo present on MAD Lions’ player jerseys. Additionally, the team will use Razer’s esports grade peripherals.

As a part of the agreement, the Madrid-based esports organisation will also be involved in the development and testing of new Razer products, supporting the company’s on-going research into new esports peripherals.

Jorge Schnura, Co-Founder and President of the MAD Lions, added: “We continue to attract world-class partners to our MAD Lions family, and today is yet another exciting moment for our organisation. We are thrilled to be joining Team Razer, recognised globally for their product quality and commitment to our industry.”

Despite only being January, this is the third partnership secured by the Spanish esports organisation in 2021. Earlier this month, the brand announced partnerships with monitor manufacturer AOC and digital media licensing provider ESPAT.

Esports Insider says: MAD Lions has secured itself yet another notable deal to add to its growing collection of partnerships. Meanwhile, Razer‘s commercial portfolio, which consists of esports organisations such as Alliance, Evil Geniuses, and Mousesports, also continues to develop. With the brand working closely with esports teams in research and development of new gaming peripherals, it’ll be intriguing to what new gear Razer will eventually deliver.
