Caps Gaming enters two-year partnership with Zipchair

Caps Gaming, the sister esports brand of the NHL’s Washington Capitals, has entered a two-year partnership with chair manufacturer Zipchair.

The deal will name Zipchair the official chair of Caps Gaming. Zipchair is an official licensee of the NFL, MLB, NHL, MLS, Call of Duty, and the Overwatch League.

Zach Leonsis, Monumental Sports & Entertainment’s Senior Vice President for Strategic Initiatives, commented on the deal in a release: “Caps Gaming is focused on embracing and elevating the competitive NHL esports community, so we are thrilled to announce Zipchair as the Official Chair of Caps Gaming.

“Zipchair offers our players the best gaming experience in terms of comfort and durability. We are delighted to enhance our gaming experience through the partnership.”

Caps Gaming will tap Zipchair’s line of gaming chairs throughout the partnership, including the PhantomX, Xpression and forthcoming Synergy Pro, with branded models set to appear across the team’s streams, events, and content. The partnership will additionally see the Caps Gaming practice and training facilities outfitted with Zipchair products.

Moreover, the pair will collaborate on fan engagement activations, including social media giveaways, promotional campaigns, and ‘multiple’ sweepstakes.
