JOIDATA enters data-focused partnership with Moonton

Esports data service provider JOIDATA has entered into a partnership with Chinese video game developer and publisher Moonton.

The three-year deal will see JOIDATA provide data design and support services for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL).

JOIDATA is said to have built an integrated esports data system for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, providing live broadcasts with real-time data and highlights packages. Moreover, the firm will collaborate with teams to provide data from competitive matches.

Xu Qian, CEO of JOIDATA, spoke on the collaboration in a release: “Over the recent years, the increasingly picky taste of the players has driven the maturation of esports data development, while the growingly rich and professional presentation of data also improves the players’ understanding of professional tournaments.

“For years, JOIDATA has been immersed in the study and learning of esports tournament data system. By exploring the commercial values of players, teams, and tournaments, it is dedicated to promoting the systematisation and specialisation of esports data, connecting enterprises at both upper and lower reach, and injecting more energy into the esports ecosystem.”

JOIDATA has previously joined forces with the likes of Chinese streaming platforms Douyu and Huya. It has also partnered with LGD Gaming and Fnatic, providing support in data technology and the generation of content.

According to the release, JOIDATA’s collaboration with Moonton is part of the firm’s plans to build a ‘strategic global portfolio’. As such, the company has confirmed that it looks to partner with more enterprises in the esports industry across the globe and ‘forge ahead on the way to esports data specialisation’.

Esports Insider says: The deal looks to benefit the entire Mobile Legends Bang Bang scene. With the ability to utilise real-time data to provide an additional layer of depth during broadcasts and being able to provide match data to teams, JOIDATA collaborating with Moonton could elevate competitive Mobile Legends to new heights.
