The sponsorship between the two parties was first established in 2019, when Betway was unveiled as the main sponsor of BIG which currently fields rosters in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends, VALORANT, and Trackmania.

Adam Savinson, Head of Esports at Betway, spoke on the renewal in a release: “We have had an incredibly successful two years of sponsorship with BIG, and watching them develop into one of the world’s best CS:GO teams has been a true pleasure. With today’s renewal, I’m excited to confirm our dedication to both BIG as an organisation as well as the wider CS:GO industry.”

The first three months of 2021 have proved fruitful for BIG. In January, the organisation was selected as the 12th BLAST Premier Member Team and entered a deal with German insurance company die Bayerische. In February, BIG’s roster of partners expanded after it inked an extension with water brand Volvic.

Daniel Finkler, CEO at BIG, also commented: “Today I am delighted to announce that our partnership with Betway, one of the world’s most famous betting operators, has been successfully extended. Since the start of our partnership in the early days of 2019, there have been many memorable moments with unforgettable victories and achievements that we are very proud of.

“Betway and all of the people behind the scenes have been amazingly supportive and loyal partners throughout these years. I am very pleased that we can continue with Betway as our main partner.”

Esports Insider says: BIG managing to extend its existing deal with Betway is a positive in an industry where gambling has become an increasingly important part. The bookmaker receives exposure in jersey sponsorship and original content involving BIG’s players which is great for all involved.

  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
