Washington Justice savours DC Brau Brewery partnership

Overwatch League franchise Washington Justice has revealed a beer partnership with local craft brewery DC Brau.

The brewery will produce a commemorative lager beer labelled ‘Sip of Justice’ for the upcoming Overwatch League season. The specially marked cans will feature landmarks from Washington, D.C. including the Washington Monument and the United States Capitol.

These limited-edition Washington Justice beer cans will be sold exclusively at Justice-hosted events later in the 2021 season and at DC Brau’s taproom location, which offers curbside pickup.

Grant Paranjape, VP of Esports Business for Washington Justice, commented: “We look forward to fans grabbing a Sip of Justice while they cheer for the Justice players safely from home during the 2021 season. DC Brau has been an incredible local partner for sports franchises here in the DMV for many years now.

The ‘Sip of Justice’ beer can will be featured in a bi-weekly content series, as well as gaining a presence during live streams throughout the 2021 Overwatch League season, which begins on April 16th.

Founded in 2011, DC Brau Brewing Company became the first packaging brewery inside the District of Columbia since 1956.

Washington Justice is the exclusive Overwatch franchise for Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC.

The organisation’s beer collaboration was spearheaded by Laveen Daryani, Partnerships and Business Manager of the Washington Justice, alongside Skall. According to the release, both are fans of video games and craft beer, as well as supporting local businesses.

Esports Insider says: It’s been a good year for the Washington Justice, with the opening of a new training facility and its collegiate partnership. As Overwatch League gets ready to ramp up next month, it will be interesting to see what other partnerships are announced.
