Esports.gg officially launched in March of 2021. Its partnership with Razer will green-light plans for ‘extensive editorial features, player profiles and media content across over a dozen esports titles’.
Christian Bishop, Esports Media Inc’. Founder, commented: “Razer has been one of my favourite brands in gaming throughout my life. It’s an incredible opportunity to have their support at launch with our new media company. There are a lot of great publications in esports working hard to build a sustainable business. This partnership will play a critical role in our ability to create new innovative content for our community.”
Esports.gg is backed by a multitude of esports veterans, with its leadership team comprising of Vindex’s Sundance Digiovanni and Adam Apicella, AJ Vaynerchuk of Vayner Media, ESL’s Kevin Rosenblatt, Snapchat’s John Imah, plus Rishi Chadha and Justin Dellario, from Twitter and Twitch respectively.
Lawrence Phillips, Esports.gg Director of Content added: “I had the pleasure of working for Razer when it launched its esports department over a decade ago and its influence in the space has only grown. Razer’s involvement in our media project will not only mean all our staff and creators will be supplied with award-winning hardware, but will also enable us to scale up our content creation across the board. From mainstream esports titles to niche.”

Khang Thai, Sr. Global Esports Lead at Razer said: “Esports is a part of Razer’s DNA. I am excited to work with such a talented crew at Esports.gg because their team is filled with leaders in their respective areas, and reporting on the exciting things happening in esports through their lens is critical to continuing our leadership in the industry.”
Esports Insider says: Esports Media, Inc. and Razer have both come together at pivotal times of growth, with the launch of Esports.gg and North American Razer Invitational, respectively. Game news sites have a bad reputation of launching with great fanfare only to dissolve some time later. Considering the esports veterans supporting the site, however, future brand partnerships for Esports.gg will probably not be an issue.
