Open to all enrolled college students in the United States, the scholarship is said to “develop the next generation of leaders” within the esports and gaming industries. Alongside earning a scholarship, winning students will also receive a range of Tribe Gaming and Razer peripherals and merchandise, according to the release.

Michael Valore, Director of Accounts at Tribe Gaming, spoke on the collaboration: “Teaming up with Razer to launch a scholarship fund is a natural fit – we both want to more broadly support collegiate students, as well as lift the future of gaming and esports.

“Tribe has been hiring extensively within collegiate space over the last year, and we’re excited to help continue to cultivate the esports and gaming thought leaders of tomorrow.”

This collaboration is not the first time Tribe Gaming and Razer have collaborated. In March, the organisation announced it had inked a partnership with the peripherals brand. 2021 has seen significant expansion for Tribe, signing and renewing deals with the likes of Elgato, Incase, and energy drink brand G FUEL.

Esports Insider says: Interest in collegiate esports is continuing to grow at an impressive rate and with the potential to discover the next wave of esports talent, it’s no surprise to see Tribe Gaming and Razer collaborating on a scholarship that could launch the careers of aspiring students.
