IGC’s Gamers Club announces Itaú Bank as Liga Gamers Club sponsor

IGC’s gaming platform, Gamers Club has announced Itaú Bank as its latest sponsor for Brazilian tournament Liga Gamers Club.

The partnership will see Itaú work together with Gamers Club and its community for the next twelve editions of Série A and the next four editions of Série Feminina.

This is not the first partnership between Itaú and GamersClub, with the Brazilian bank sponsoring the female version of Gamers Club Masters. According to the release, the company’s expansion looks to help provide more competitive gaming opportunities and initiatives within the scene as a whole. 

Jonathan Pereira, Head of Marketing at Gamers Club, commented: “For Gamers Club it is very important to have a partner like Itaú, which brings with its brand the importance of initiatives that change the game and bring visibility to our ecosystem.”

The deal will officially debut on September 3rd during Feminine Series’s transmission on Gamers Club’s Twitch channel.

Throughout the partnership, Itaú will anchor these collaborattive initiatives on its #issoMudaOGame (that changes the game) platform, which was created to help contribute to the solidification of a diverse gaming ecosystem.

Robson Harada, Head of Growth Marketing at Itaú Unibanco, added: “The development of gamer talent cannot be linked to gender, age or any other factor other than the athletes’ will to grow. Our support for these championships has to do with this: providing an opportunity for the growth of e-sports and making them more accessible.

“This universe is very large, has space for everyone and we want to open new doors for those interested in games.”

Esports Insider says: Gamersclub is a well-known platform in Brazil, particularly within the Counter-Strike scene. Having Itaú Unibanco support the two Leagues will help Gamers Club develop an even better environment for players that wants to gain competitive experience and engage in tournaments.
