Hungate will divide her time between London and the Alienware Training Facility EU in Utrecht, The Netherlands.
Hungate commented: “I believe that quality is the best business model and Team Liquid embodies that through its direct relationship with its engaged, loyal and growing audience.”

Prior to this role, she served as Independent Director at international games publisher Avalanche Studios Group and Chair of production music library The Nerve.
Hungate was appointed MD of the renamed Warner Bros. TV Production UK, after facilitating the successful acquisition of Shed Media Group by Time Warner in 2014.
Prior to the acquisition, the group consisted of award-winning production companies responsible for: Oscar-winning theatrical documentary ‘Man on Wire’, and reality entertainment formats ‘Who Do You Think You Are’, ‘The Voice’, and ‘Supernanny’.
At the start of her entertainment career, she worked in legal and business affairs for the BBC, Princess Productions, and Wall to Wall Media.
In addition to Hungate’s appointment, Team Liquid has promoted Boudewijn Kryne from Director to Vice President of Fan Management, elevating his responsibilities for the development of the Liquid+ platform. Kryne will report directly to Hungate.
“From the moment we first met Claire, we’ve admired her knowledge, experience and passion,” said Team Liquid Founder and Co-CEO, Victor Goossens, “as well as how closely they align with our business and cultural endeavors.
“She already embodies the ‘Liquid Way’ and is the right fit to help us advance our priorities and drive the industry forward.”
Esports Insider says: With the breadth of entertainment experience behind her, Claire Hungate stepping into such major roles at Team Liquid is a declaration of esports’ dent in the greater entertainment industry. It will be interesting to see her influence on the org’s operations and content.
