English football club Manchester City has named gaming chair manufacturer GTRACING as the official gaming chair partner for its esports division.
The partnership will see GTRACING collaborate with Manchester City’s esports players on various content and fan engagement activations. Additionally, the GTRACING brand will be featured across the esports division’s digital assets.
According to the release, the parties also plan to release a line of co-branded gaming chairs.
Gavin Johnson, City Football Group’s Media Director, spoke on the announcement: “We’re delighted to welcome GTRACING as a partner of Manchester City Esports today.
“As a club, we are dedicated to providing authentic esports experiences for our fans and I am pleased that GTRACING will be joining us on this journey as we continue to find new ways to engage with our fans within this space.”
Founded in 2011, GTRACING specialises in producing ergonomically designed gaming chairs. In line with the company’s design concept ‘BE COOL BE FREE’, its chairs are equipped with Bluetooth speakers to ‘meet the needs of users for immersive gaming’.
Aaron Wu, Founder of GTRACING, commented: “The integration of traditional sports and esports is the inevitable development of the times, and it is also the core growth project of GTRACING. We are very glad to be able to provide fans with a unique competitive experience through this innovative collaboration with Manchester City.
“Gaming chairs are very important to the esports experience and GTRACING will be committed to focusing on optimising product innovation to fully meet user needs.”
Esports Insider says: A good gaming chair is a necessity for any esports player, that’s why partnering with chair manufacturers has become a norm for esports organisations. For GTRACING, partnering and launching a co-branded product with Manchester City is a great way to bolster its position in UK’s market.
