Southeast Asian esports organisation Boom Esports has announced a partnership with computer hardware company Acer.

As a result of the deal, the company’s logo will appear on the jerseys of the organisation’s Dota 2 roster.

Aside from logo placement on jerseys, details on the partnership are currently unknown. This includes whether the logo placement will appear on the organisation’s other competitive teams.

According to a release, the deal aims to increase the synergy between Indonesia’s gaming and esports industries. Information on future activations is expected to be announced at a later date.

Founded in 2016, BOOM Esports has consolidated its position as one of the leading organisations in the region. The organisation fields rosters in PUBG Mobile, VALORANT, League of Legends: Wild Rift and Dota 2. Boom Esports is set to compete in Dota 2’s The International, which is taking place in Singapore from October 15th.

Acer is no stranger to collaborating with organisations. In 2021, the company expanded its existing deal with Envy Gaming to support all of its competitive teams competing under its banner. Additionally, Acer becomes the sixth partner of BOOM Esports, joining lead sponsor Rivalry, AMD, internet service provider CBN, web3 platform Yesports and NFT platform GamesPad on its roster.

Gary Ongko Putera, CEO and Founder of BOOM Esports, spoke on the deal: “I’m very excited to work with Acer, one of the leading laptop brands in the world.

“Being recognised by brands like Acer is a testament to the good work we’ve been doing. I’m very excited to be able to travel and prepare for matches with such a powerful and comfortable machine.”
