Ticketmaster partners with ESL FACEIT Group

Ticketmaster, a global event ticket platform, has announced a partnership with the ESL FACEIT Group ahead of the IEM Katowice tournament in 2023.

Ticketmaster will be the official ticketing partner and deliver ticketing technology for the event through Ticketmaster Poland, a local subsidiary of the company. Tickets are already on sale.

Ticketmaster is one of the largest event ticket platforms in the world, supporting hundreds of daily events via its online ticket sales system.

The platform is best known for providing tickets for music concerts and sports events. The company was founded in 1976 and currently has more than six thousand employees worldwide, and operates in more than 30 countries.

The partnership with the ESL FACEIT Group marks the first explicit entry into esports for Ticketmaster.

IEM Katowice, a storied, prestigious event in the esports calendar, is set to take place in early February 2023 amongst the best CS:GO teams in the world. The tournament is part of the Intel Extreme Masters, the longest-running esports tournament circuit.

Beyond revealing the cooperation for IEM Katowice, Ticketmaster and the ESL FACEIT Group did not announce any further details about the partnership, or possible plans for the future.

However, partnering with the ESL FACEIT Group, the largest tournament organiser conglomerate and one of the most notable esports companies in the world, opens the doors for further potential esports collaboratoins down the line.
