Digital collectible platform Kolex, ESL FACEIT Group (the holding company behind ESL Gaming and FACEIT) and partner teams of the ESL Pro League have announced a digital collectibles partnership.

The digital items will become available during the IEM Rio Major, CS:GO’s upcoming championship, and will feature collecitbles from 16 esports organisations that are partners in the Louvre Agreement. The NFTs will be available through Kolex’s website and is also for mobile devices on both iOS and Android.

The full list of organisations participating in the collaboration include Astralis, BIG, Complexity, Ence, Evil Geniuses, FaZe Clan, Fnatic, Furia, G2 Esports, Heroic, Mouz, NAVI, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Team Liquid and Team Vitality

The Kolex platform is a digital collectible marketplace that already offers trading cards featuring PUBG Mobile players as well as well-known streamers. Kolex is the result of a rebranding effort from Epics trading cards and is an umbrella brand encompassing Kolex Trading Cards, Cryptees and Kolectiv.

According to the ESL FACEIT Group and Kolex, owners of upcoming NFTs will be able to trade and craft items. Meanwhile, the platform will allow a degree of competition and leaderboards. Considering the fact that this effort includes the teams, collectors will be able to get perks in the real world as well, including VIP treatments and signed merchandise.

The NFTs will be divided into three groups: ‘Top Frags’, paying tribute to well-known game moments from CS:GO’s history, ‘Trading Cards’, which will feature tournaments, teams and players, and finally ‘Checkpoints’, which will be awarded to fans who visit real-world events.

Nicolas Maurer, CEO, and Co-founder of Team Vitality said “It has been very nice to work hand in hand with EFG to create real digital collectibles for esport fans. As you know, Team Vitality is very close to its fanbase: offering them new opportunities to improve their esports experiences is one of our priorities. We hope this new platform will give them the possibility to remember very special moments and immortalize them!”
