Web3 esports platform FITCHIN has expanded its presence into Europe through a partnership with Spanish esports organisation Giants Gaming.
As a result of the collaboration, Giants fans will be offered experiences including participation in tournaments with cryptocurrency prizes and discounts, as well as access to ‘collections’.
Launched earlier this year, FITCHIN is a Web3 platform that focuses on providing tailored fan experiences. Primarily, these fan engagement opportunities are offered through an esports organisation-specific membership scheme. In September, the company announced the launch of its blockchain tournament and community platform on Solana.
Details regarding how Giants Gaming will be integrated into FITCHIN, and whether the organisation will utilise a membership model, have not been disclosed.
Up until now, FITCHIN has tapped the LATAM market, securing partnerships with Leviatán, Furious Gaming and KRÜ Esports. This is the company’s first partnership with a European organisation.
2022 has been a year of significant development for Giants Gaming. The organisation was named a partner team for the VALORANT Champions Tour, and it secured commercial partnerships with the likes of Sony Music and Burger King.
Giants Gaming is owned by Good Game Group. The company’s other properties include the likes of organisation X6TENCE as well as media publications Esportmaniacos and BCN Fighters. Alongside VALORANT, Giants Gaming also competes in League of Legends, through the Spanish regional league (LVP Superliga).
José Ramón Díaz, CEO of Giants Gaming, commented on the announcement: “Our main objective in partnering with FITCHIN is to further integrate Giants Gaming into FITCHIN’s roster of premier esports partners worldwide, and to provide our fans with a highly personalised and interactive way to connect with their favourite teams.”
