The Champion of Champions Tour (CCT), a global CS:GO esports circuit commissioned by GRID Esports, has secured a partnership with bookmaker 1xBet.
As part of the deal, 1xBet will become CCT’s exclusive betting sponsor across its global broadcasts.
All Online Series of the Tour will feature 1xBet branding, as well as the upcoming Regional Finals and the Grand Final through to 2024. In addition, four events of the upcoming Studio Finals stage will be held at the new 1xBet studio that is under construction in Belgrade, Serbia.
Both parties will also collaborate on the design and production of a mobile application for the Tour, designed for CCT fans and the larger CS:GO community. Powered by GRID’s Data Platform, the app will utilise official live and historical data to provide users with information about CS:GO and CCT.
Revealed in May 2022, the CCT was jointly organised by GRID and several well-known esports firms, such as FACEIT, Relog Media and Fantasyexpo, among others. Regional online tournaments kicked off in June 2022, with various LAN events also expected to take place — both of which serve as qualifiers for the Global Finals taking place in 2024.
Moreover, CCT will feature a $3.4m (~£2.76m) prize pool split across North America, South America and Europe.
Besides GRID and CCT, 1xBet also sponsors Team Spirit, Tundra Esports, MIBR, and K23. Earlier this year, the bookmaker teamed up with OG Esports to ‘develop high-end video content’ in addition to outfitting the organisation’s jerseys.
In 2021, 1xBet also became the official global betting partner of the ESL Pro Tour CS:GO and its ESL One Summer & Winter Dota 2 events. The deal remained in effect until IEM Katowice took place in February 2022.
