Karina Ziminaite, G2 Esports’ former Head of Content, and Thorsten Denk, a former Art Director and creative lead for DrDisrespect’s brand, have joined forces to launch creative studio Z1MT.

Supported by German multimedia company INSTINCT3, the studio will work on creating creative campaigns for esports, personal and non-endemic brands.

Karina Ziminaite most recently held the position of Head of Content at European esports organisation G2 Esports. During her career, Ziminaite has worked with numerous other esports brands including Aim Lab and Team Liquid. Prior to joining G2, she held positions at Freaks4U Gaming and Fnatic.

Thorsten Denk is best known for his work with well-known streamer and entertainment figure Dr Disrespect (Herschel Beahm). Denk was the lead creative for DrDisrespect’s brand and was tasked with steering the direction of the brand for four years, according to a release distributed by Z1MT.

Ziminaite said that the new business venture will work “with only select brands and choose projects that align with their vision,” emphasising that the company will guarantee quality.

The company did not share any further details regarding the clients it was targeting, nor the types of projects it would pursue.

Karina Ziminaite, CEO of Z1MT, added: “For many creatives, it is familiar to have to fight for their ideas, for resources, for opportunities.

“We want to bring together the best of the best and instead of having them spend 70% of their time handling situations that hold them back, let them free their imagination. We know that our future clients will benefit from mutual trust and our hunger for novelty and exploration.”

Z1MT will be supported by I3 Holding, a company founded by one of the best-known German YouTubers, Maximilian Knabe (HandOfBlood).

Knabe commented in a release: “Observing both Karina’s and Thorsten’s work within the gaming and esports industries over the last years, I have always respected the way they pushed for innovation and excellence, raising standards of the ecosystem as a whole.

“This is why I was ecstatic when our Co-CEOs Hendrik and Johannes briefed me about our plans with these two luminaries and I cannot wait to see the product of our partnership.”
