German esports organisation BIG has extended its partnership with insurance company BA die Bayerische.

Die Bayerische — which means the Bavarian in German — has been a partner of BIG since 2021, with the new agreement lasting through 2024.

The two companies are also expanding the deal’s scope. As well as being a main partner of BIG’s League of Legends team, the insurance company will ‘expand its commitment’ to BIG’s ‘Chroma’ project — an initiative to scout female and non-binary esports talent.

BIG fields rosters in CS:GO, League of Legends, Trackmania and more. Notably, the organisation’s focus on Germany appears to determine its teams strategy: in StarCraft II, Quake and Tekken, it has signed the top German talent available.

Die Bayerische is part of BIG’s expansive commercial portfolio which includes the likes of Coinbase, Omen by HP, Volvic and Phillips OneBlade, among others.

“I am delighted that we are now extending our partnership with Bayerische by two more years after starting in 2021. It is a great vote of confidence and a strong sign of successful cooperation in the past,” commented Daniel Finkler, BIG’s CEO, via a translated release.

“In addition, die Bayerische will appear as a partner for our two Trackmania professional drivers in the upcoming Trackmania World Cup. We and the entire BIG team are looking forward to the next two years 2023 and 2024 together with [die Bayerische] and thank you for the ongoing support!”
