Global tournament organiser and holding company ESL FACEIT Group has announced an expansion of its partnership with Taiwanese computer and hardware brand Acer.

The partnership will see Acer work with ESL FACEIT Group on almost all of its major events, including the Intel Extreme Masters, ESL Challengers, DreamLeague and ESL One competitions in CS:GO and Dota 2.

Acer’s high-performance brand, Predator, will provide its products for most of ESL’s esports events. Predator sits at the top of the Acer lineup and produces laptops, desktop PCs, monitors and peripherals.

Acer has worked with ESL Gaming for multiple years, first partnering with the brand in 2019. However, that deal ended in 2022, with ESL partnering with Lenovo Legion in 2022 and making it the ‘exclusive’ PC partner for the IEM series of events. Acer Predator remained the main hardware partner for the ESL One series of events, and ESL even partnered with ASUS ROG for the ESL Pro League Conference.

In the end, it seems like ESL and Acer finally agreed on a large partnership covering most events ESL organises. This includes the full ESL Pro Tour in Dota 2, as well as ESL Challenger, DreamLeague and the Intel Extreme Masters all through 2023.

The two brands also noted that fans can expect activations on all events and online broadcasts, focusing on Acer Predator gaming laptops and other hardware.

Vincent Lin, Associate Vice President, Global Product Marketing and Planning, Acer Inc, commented: “Our partnership with Intel and EFG is a strong indication of our shared vision and passion to expand the gaming and esports industries to more countries worldwide.

“Their esports competitions are among the most highly-anticipated ones, and Acer is excited to take part with our latest Predator gaming laptops, supporting gamers within the growing esports community.”
