Gaming data platform GRID has announced a partnership with U.S. Integrity (USI), an integrity services provider for traditional sports.

As a result, GRID will provide official esports data to USI to help expand the American company’s services into esports.

GRID’s partnership with USI aims to support the expansion of esports betting regulations in the United States. The data company will provide USI with consultancy and support from its in-house integrity team to help create solutions that cater to esports users and rights holders.

Founded in 2018, GRID has become a prominent game data company that provides official data for various esports tournament organisers and betting companies. The company has notable partnerships with the likes of PGL, KRAFTON and Riot Games. The latter collaboration saw both parties launch the VALORANT Data Portal (VDP), a home for the title’s in-game esports data.

Earlier this year, the company has partnered with EPULZE for the Dota 2 Bali Major and launched a betting product with Inspired Entertainment.

Moritz Maurer, CEO at GRID, stated: “GRID and US Integrity share a vision for a data-driven integrity approach in esports. Combining our expertise we aim to ensure the integrity of the match, the source, and the bet in any esports title and introduce more scalable frameworks for the industry as a whole.’’

The U.S. Integrity is an integrity monitoring company that focuses on preventing fraud, match fixing, game manipulation and other illegal betting activity. The company works with the likes of UFC, PGA Tour, MLB and other companies in sports and betting.

Scott Sadin, COO at U.S. Integrity, commented on the partnership: “Integrity encompasses more than just fighting against match-fixing. It entails education, policies, and procedures—a framework that fosters the sustainable growth of any ecosystem.

“GRID is committed to constructing a fair esports environment with official data at its core. Via their successful partnerships with rights holders, and cutting-edge technology, we see GRID as a natural industry leader and an excellent collaborator in the endeavor to establish new integrity frameworks in esports.”
