Alongside the activations, Evil Geniuses’ Genius League brand will provide exclusive content for the Game Gym app. This includes advice from the organisation’s players and career advice for people looking to enter the esports industry.

In addition, Game Gym’s Mid-Atlantic Esports Conference league will utilise the Genius League’s social media accounts to give fans an insight into a collegiate esports programme. Members of Game Gym will have opportunities to receive exclusive rewards from Evil Geniuses within its in-app store. Details on the rewards were not disclosed.

Evil Geniuses’ Genius League is a programme that provides career development across a range of areas including esports, business, and marketing. The organisation hosts two annual sessions enabling students to develop skills giving them a chance to start a career in esports.

Partnering with Game Gym marks the first Evil Geniuses partnership since Nicole LaPointe Jameson stood down as CEO of the organisation in September 2023.

Chris DeAppolonio, Interim CEO and Chief Innovation Officer at Evil Geniuses, spoke on the deal: “Evil Geniuses is thrilled to partner with Game Gym to promote healthy gaming and to create esports career pathways.

“Our missions are completely aligned as we look to create an ecosystem where young esports athletes can get better at the games they love while also learning what it means to be a professional athlete and what other careers are available in esports.”
