Game Developer MOONTON has announced that Saudi Arabian company VOV Gaming will act as a presenting partner for the fall split of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League MENA (MPL MENA).
VOV Gaming, a gaming venue company owned by Saudi government-owned Savvy Games Group, will host the entirety of the tournament in its venues and offer marketing support for the league for its 2023 Fall Split.
MPL MENA is the official regional league for MOONTON’s mobile MOBA title Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. The league’s upcoming Fall Split will see eight regional teams compete for its $100,000 (~£79,200) prize pool and a chance to participate in the M5 World Championship, which will take place late in 2023 in Kuala Lumpur and the Philippines.
MPL MENA is a relatively young league, first formed in the fall of 2021. Although it is an official regional league for MLBB, the league has seen limited success in terms of viewership for its first splits. According to data and analytics company Esports Charts, the tournament did not break 10,000 peak viewers in Fall 2022.
The partnership with VOV Gaming aims to help grow the league further and secure more viewership for the events. VOV Gaming is an esports and gaming company focused on creating gaming and esports venues, with several locations in the Middle East. The company is also partnered with the Global Esports Federation and Premier League club Newcastle United.
