Gaming bar chain Platform has teamed up with gaming monitor brand AGON by AOC to help bolster its venue in Shoreditch, London.

As a result of the partnership, AGON by AOC will become the exclusive provider of monitors for Platform’s competitive 5v5 stage and the streaming room.

According to a press release, the partnership aims to enhance the gaming hospitality offering provided at Platform’s Shoreditch venue. This Summer, AGON by AOC already installed 22 gaming monitors at the location.

The collaboration is now set to continue for over one year, with AGON additionally receiving exclusivity for some of Platform Shoreditch’s activations.

Platform Shoreditch features eight gaming booths, a ten-person esports stage, and a bar and relaxation area where visitors can enjoy food and drinks. The venue hosts a range of esports and gaming-focused events, including Esports Insider’s ESI Hall of Fame 2022 ceremony.

Platform also recently opened a gaming bar in London’s Canary Wharf earlier this year, which includes 20 gaming booths across two floors.

AGON by AOC is a monitor and IT accessories brand dedicated to competitive gamers by monitor manufacturer AOC.

In addition to Platform Shoreditch, AGON has worked with several significant partners this year to expand its stake in the gaming and esports ecosystem. In April, the company extended its esports partnership with energy drink brand Red Bull for 2023. Three months later, AGON expanded its collaboration with Brazilian esports organisation FURIA.

Paul Butler, UK Regional Sales Director for AOC, commented on the partnership with Platform Shoreditch: “I am delighted to take part in this collaboration with Platform Shoreditch. Teaming up with this esteemed gaming venue reaffirms our commitment to providing gamers with the very best in display technology.

“We believe that our high-performance gaming monitors will enhance the gaming experience for all who visit this brilliant venue.”
