NSE to host new Genshin Impact event in London

UK university esports body National Student Esports (NSE) has announced a Genshin Impact event set to be held in London, England.

The in-person event, titled ‘Magical Marketplace: Genshin Campus Celebration’ will take place on Saturday, November 25th in London’s Spitalfields Market.

The Genshin Impact event will include ‘a myriad of exciting activities’ and an opportunity for both student and non-student fans to come together and celebrate their shared passion for Genshin Impact, NSE said in a release.

The event will feature the finals of a cosplay competition, for which there will be qualifiying events in the weeks leading up. The competition will be judged by professional cosplayers.

Genshin Campus Celebration will also include Genshin Impact speedrunning challenges, where winners can earn premium merchandise. Other activities, including influencer activations, scavenger hunts and creative challenges ainfluencer activations, scavenger hunts and creative challenges are also planned.

The announcement follows the renewal of the NSE’s partnership with Chinese game developer HoYoverse — the creator of Genshin Impact — for the 2023/24 academic year. The partnership is expected to result in a number of Genshin Impact activations at UK student campuses throughout the academic year.

Founded in 2018, NSE is a university esports body that’s aimed at supporting esports growth within higher education. NSE recently announced that its Intel FutureGen student programme will continue with a 2024 edition. The body also recently named student discount website UNiDAYS as an official partner of NSE’s British University Esports Championship.

“Plus, this will be a brilliant experience for anybody new to the game and keen to try out lots of activities to understand why everyone loves it so much.”
