UK esports organisation Tundra Esports has announced a partnership with monitor and display company ViewSonic for Dota 2’s upcoming 2023 The International.

During the international event, Tundra Esports and ViewSonic will co-create content that showcases the company’s monitors.

According to a release, the new deal aims to ‘enrich the global gaming community’ by utilising Tundra’s social network reach and ViewSonic’s products.

This is not the first time ViewSonic has teamed up with an esports organisation. In 2021, the company partnered with North American esports organisation Soniqs. That same year ViewSonic secured a multi-year deal to outfit Allied Esports’s HyperX Esports Arena in Las Vegas.

Tundra Esports is the current reigning champion of The International after walking out victorious against Team Secret in 2022. This year’s event is taking place in Seattle, United States and will commence October 12th.

Whilst the event is typically known for its large prize pool, such as 2021’s $40m prize fund, The International 2023 is set to have a significantly lower amount due to fans’ disappointment in TI12’s Compendium, a pass that helps fund the prize pool.

Leading up to the tournament, Tundra Esports secured another partnership that is exclusive to the Dota 2 event, signing a deal with Ballantine’s scotch whisky. Tundra’s other commercial partner is bookmaker Winline.

Carleton Curtis, Chief Executive Officer of Tundra Esports, commented: “We are delighted to welcome ViewSonic as the Official Supplier of our Dota 2 roster. This partnership is a fantastic opportunity for our organisations to showcase the product use of the ViewSonic product line and build valuable touchpoints together.

“We are looking forward to working with ViewSonic during The International 2023 to bring a lot of exciting moments to our fans.”Outside of its commercial deals, Tundra made the news earlier this year when it entered Rocket League through a joint venture with French club PSG.
