New England-based esports organisation Oxygen Esports has renewed and expanded its partnership with technology-based wearables brand GamerTech.

The partnership will see Oxygen Esports and GamerTech commercially launch a range of co-branded performance wear. This includes the Magma Glove, a thermotherapy device that warms up hands to try to improve in-game performance.

In addition, the two parties will join forces in a joint activation at this year’s Esports Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada. GamerTech has also been named the official performance apparel partner of Oxygen Esports. Alongside its individual esports operations, Oxygen Esports is the parent company of Call of Duty League franchise Boston Breach.

According to a release, other activations between Oxygen Esports and GamerTech will occur at the first Call of Duty League Major of 2024, which is hosted by the organisation at Boston’s MGM Music Hall from January 25th-28th.

This isn’t the first esports partnership for GamerTech. In January 2023, the company joined forces with Danish esports organisation Team Singularity as its apparel partner and supplier for the duration of the year.

Aside from renewing existing partnerships, Oxygen Esports has continued to expand its presence in the industry. In July 2023, the organisation unveiled a rebranding to overhaul its visual identity and connect its franchises under a singular global brand.

Adam Morrison, Chief Operating Officer at Oxygen Esports, spoke on the news: “We are honoured to continue our work with GamerTech for a fourth straight year.

“As GamerTech enters their exciting next phase of growth, we look forward to supporting the launch of their innovative Magma Glove and other performance wear in 2024. As an organisation we place a heavy emphasis on high-performing rosters and always are looking to offer our players equipment and services that can provide a competitive advantage. We know GamerTech’s products give our players an edge and they will allow gamers globally to level up their play and recovery as well.”
