Esports agency ULTI Agency and CS2 streamer Ohnepixel have been announced as co-owners of Counter-Strike skin trading platform Skinbid.
The company has also officially relaunched with a new visual identity. The goal for the company is, according to its owners, to become the number one skin trading site worldwide.
Skinbid is a skin trading website created by Oliver Behrensdorff in 2020. The company specialised in Counter-Strike skin trading, similar to the likes of Skin Baron and other competitors in the field. Despite the platform finding new co-owners, the company will continue operating as before, with its founder staying on board.
Interestingly, the new co-owners have close ties to gaming and esports but come from two separate segments of the industry. Content creator Ohnepixel is one of the most prominent names in the CS skin trading and betting community, regularly making content about new skins and updates to the skin market in Counter-Strike.
On the other hand, ULTI Agency is a talent representation agency known for being co-owned by former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær, and for working with Italian sports club AS Roma. The agency represents esports host James Banks, as well as CS2 player Håkon “hallzerk” Fjærli and has been a key figure in several high-profile esports moves recently, including the acquisition of the Gambit CS:GO squad by Cloud9.
Asgeir Kvalvik, Founder and CEO of ULTI Agency, said: “What Zipel and his team have been able to develop with Skinbid is truly impressive. We’ve spent a lot of time over the last months getting to know Oliver, his team, and the tech behind the site. We are confident this site has the potential to become the number one go-to place for trading skins.”
