Riot Games announces large-scale OMEN and HyperX partnership

Esports and gaming company Riot Games has announced a major partnership with Hewlett Packard (HP) brands HyperX and OMEN, focused on esports, gaming and product development.

OMEN and HyperX will support VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT), League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics events globally and will provide hardware for all competitions. In addition, Riot, HyperX and OMEN will work on product development, activations and marketing campaigns.

OMEN is HP’s flagship gaming and esports brand which develops gaming computers, screens, and other hardware, while HyperX focuses on high-end peripherals for PCs and laptops. Both brands have been historically very active in esports and have worked with Riot Games in the past, with HyperX being a VCT partner. OMEN is also a long-time partner of Danish esports brand Astralis and the PC partner for VCT Pacific.

The new partnership includes three major Riot games: VALORANT, League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics. All three will be supported by HP’s gaming brands for LAN events across the world, with Riot Games announcing that OMEN and HyperX will ‘outfit all Riot Games Esports global events’.

In addition to hardware, the three brands will work together on activations and marketing campaigns, including on-site activations and digital activities. Branded segments and product placement during Riot Games competitions were also announced.

Lastly, Riot Games will provide expertise to HP and help develop gaming products and hardware, allowing the hardware companies to improve their existing offerings and test them with dozens of professional players in different games.
