North American esports organisation FaZe Clan and energy drink brand GHOST have unveiled a new flavour, FAZE UP, following the duo’s previous collaboration last year.

FaZe Clan and Ghost launched their inaugural FAZE POP flavour in February 2023, with the announcement claiming that it became 7-Eleven’s number-one selling energy product nationwide in 2023.

Due to the first flavour’s success, FaZe Clan noted it has led to FAZE UP having an exclusive nationwide launch at North American 7-Eleven stores in 2024. The partnership between GHOST and FaZe first began in 2022 through the signing of a multi-year deal

Whilst activations surrounding the new flavour launch were not revealed by FaZe Clan, the organisation did tease promotions, giveaways and content tied to the launch of FAZE UP.

Beverage and esports collaborations have become very common in recent years, ranging from standard sponsorships to launching co-branded drinks to starting, and selling, energy drink companies. Prior to its partnership with FaZe Clan, GHOST had previous experience within the esports space, notably with fellow North American team XSET in 2020.

FaZe Clan Co-Founder Tommy ‘FaZe Temperrr’ Oliveira, commented: “We are stoked to introduce another original energy drink flavour in partnership with GHOST.”

“FAZE UP tastes like a trip down memory lane, combining the citrus flavours loved by so many of us during childhood. We set out to create a taste that is both familiar and exciting, and hope our fans and community love it as much as we do.”

FaZe Clan’s future is still up in the air, with a decision yet to be made regarding its impending merger with esports conglomerate GameSquare, the parent company of Complexity. According to a recent announcement from GameSquare, a vote on the merger will take place on February 27th.This year has also seen FaZe Clan secure a partnership with cryptocurrency casino Rollbit whilst also announcing the continuation of its weekly gaming tournament series ‘FaZe Fridays’.
