Rainbow Six Siege publisher Ubisoft and tournament organiser BLAST have announced event locations for the upcoming 2024 season, as well as the finals location for the 2025 season.

Manchester and Montreal will both host Majors in 2024, with the 2024 season’s culminating championship event the Six Invitational heading to the United States.

Rainbow Six Siege (R6 Siege)’s esports scene is made up of nine regional leagues representing all major regions across the world. Regional leagues run twice per year with the top teams from each regional league qualifying for two respective Majors. The season culminates in the Six Invitational, usually held early the following year.

The first Major of the 2024 season will take place in Manchester, UK, as already announced in January. The second Major will head to Montreal, Canada, where Ubisoft has offices and where many previous R6 events have taken place. The Six Invitational will then take place in the US.

While the host countries have been revealed, the venue and city locations of the Majors and Six Invitational have not yet been announced — apart from the UK event, which is being held in the B.E.C Arena in Manchester.

Additionally, the Six Invitational location for the following 2025 season has also been revealed as France, where Ubisoft is headquartered. Major locations for the 2025 season however have not yet been revealed.

“I can’t wait,” Francois-Xavier Deniele, Ubisoft’s VP of Esports & Competitive Gaming, told Esports Insider of next season’s event calendar. “It will be a positive challenge after [the R6 Invitational 2024] because it’s been a massive success.”

Deniele said the decision to go to the US with the next Six Invitational was something they’d had in mind for a while. “We’ve seen the esports scene becoming more and more important in NA for us, and the fact the game is working very well is a good motivation to go to the US. It was the right time,” he said.

The news was announced live at the R6 Invitational 2024 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The sold-out event has seen over 9000 fans attend to see teams from across the world compete for the event’s $3m (~£2.37m) prize pool.

R6 Siege’s esports circuit is operated by tournament organiser BLAST, following a deal struck with Ubisoft in December 2022. BLAST will continue to operate the R6 Siege scene for the upcoming 2024 season.
