Brazilian esports organisation FURIA has appointed Milton Stiilpen Junior as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

The role will see Stiilpen lead the organisation’s investments to enhance audience interaction and business intelligence through the use of technology.

Prior to joining FURIA, Stilpen co-founded STILNGUE, an AI platform that generates insights to help create better digital consumer experiences for brands. He was CTO of the company until STILNGUE was acquired by Blip in 2022. Stilpen then went on to become the company’s Director until 2024. He is also currently a shareholder and mentor at Blip.

According to a release, FURIA will utilise Stilpen’s expertise to drive technology projects that look to impact the organisation’s ‘external efforts and internal decision-making.’ The announcement of Stilpen’s appointment also notes he has invested in FURIA. His exact stake in the organisation has not been disclosed.

Alongside holding various esports divisions across several titles, FURIA has expanded its operations in 2024. Notably, this includes launching a football club ahead of May’s Kings World Cup 2024 as well as bolstering its merchandise division through ONWEAR and Crunchyroll partnerships.

In esports, FURIA competes in titles such as Counter-Strike 2, League of Legends, VALORANT and Rainbow Six, among others.

Speaking on his appointment, Stilpen said: “I strongly believe in the culture and unique energy that FURIA embodies.

“As CTO, fan, and investor, I see a wealth of talent, rapid growth momentum and continuous evolution led by FURIA, offering opportunities for genuine fan and community relations through digital products and experiences, as well as technologies to support day-to-day operations aiming to enhance professional quality of life.”
