Women-focused gaming and esports community platform the*gamehers has announced that its awards ceremony, the*gamehers Awards, is returning in 2025.

The awards ceremony aims to continue highlighting the successes of women and femme-identifying individuals within the gaming and esports industries.

Since its launch in 2019, the*gamehers has continued to drive representation and highlight the importance of gender diversity within gaming and esports. Its platform and wealth of initiatives support women across a variety of verticals including career development and education.

The 2024 edition of the*gamehers Awards took place in March and presented 27 awards celebrating rising stars within the industry in addition to top-performing esports teams. According to a release, the ceremony generated ‘over 10m impressions; and attracted more than ‘155,000 views.’

Ahead of the 2025 event, the*gamehers says it will ‘continue to elevate’ its efforts to recognise the contributions made by women in gaming and esports. The platform has also announced it is searching for potential sponsorship opportunities.

Throughout 2024, the*gamehers has continued establishing itself as one of the largest women-focused platforms in gaming and esports. In August, it secured investment from Dunhill Ventures to enhance its mobile app. In July, the platform extended its existing partnership with crypto betting company Thunderpick.

Allie Young, President of the*gamehers, spoke on the news: “We are beyond excited to bring the*gamehers Awards into 2025 and continue showcasing the incredible talent and leadership of women in gaming globally.

“The support we received for the 2024 Awards was nothing short of amazing, and we are eager to build on that success to create an even more impactful event next year. We welcome all partners who share our vision to join us in celebrating and amplifying these voices.”
