Singapore-based pop culture collectibles company XM Studios has expanded into esports with the launch of an esports venue in the country.

The XM Studios Esports Hub is expected to open in December 2024 and will host esports training sessions, student competitions and corporate events.

It was also teased that the esports venue will debut with an ‘exciting esports tournament’, however, little details have been revealed at the time.

The XM Studios Esports Hub will be supported by local partners, including the Singapore Cybersports & Online Gaming Association (SCOGA) as well as gaming chair brand TTRacing, which will provide both hardware and furniture.

Founded in 2012, XM Studios is known in Southeast Asia for designing collectables, figurines and merchandise, particularly of comic book characters. Some of the company’s collaborations include Marvel, Transformers and DC.

Singapore has been making strides in developing esports, with several tier-one tournaments taking place in the country, including the BLAST World Final 2024 (Counter-Strike) and the BLAST Dota Slam 2025 (Dota 2). Some of the most recognisable Singaporean organisations include Paper Rex, Team Flash, and Bleed Esports, the latter of which was recently removed from VCT Pacific.

While esports are currently not recognised as a sport by the government, there are national governing bodies such as the Singapore Esports Association (SGEA) and the National Sports Association (NSA) for esports.

Moreover, SCOGA has formed an esports academy in partnership with the National Youth Council of Singapore to offer social service agency programmes. These are done by partnering with schools and offering career workshops for young individuals and parents who want to understand the industry.

On top of announcing the esports venue, XM Studios has appointed renowned actor, filmmaker, and creator Jaze Phua as its first official brand ambassador to boost the brand’s presence in pop culture.

“I’m incredibly honoured to be named the first official ambassador for XM Studios,” said Jaze Phua. “This is such an exciting opportunity, and I look forward to representing XM’s values and vision through my work. I can’t wait to share more about what’s coming!”

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
