Samsung Galaxy, a popular electronics brand owned by Samsung, has partnered with the Esports Awards and its mobile awards division the Mobies.

Specifically, Samsung Galaxy has become the official mobile partner for the Esports Awards and the title sponsor for the Mobies.

According to a release, Samsung Galaxy will have a strong presence in the gaming award ceremonies set to commence on November 19th.

At the Esports Awards, Samsung will also conduct the 5th edition of its ‘Samsung Galaxy Battles’ event, a PUBG Mobile tournament featuring esports personalities. Each participant at the event will use a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 device, with the broadcast set to begin on November 21st following the main ceremony at the Esports Awards.

Samsung will also bring a ‘tech-infused twist’ with an interactive brand-sponsored hole at the Esports Awards Open on November 22nd. The Esports Awards Open is a Golf tournament that will culminate the Awards ceremony, with the event hosting recognised sports, music and gaming talent.

This is the second Esports Awards ceremony in 2024 following its August event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event, slated to be held in Los Angeles, will have different award categories than its earlier edition with awards such as Esports Organisation of the Year and Esports Content Creator of the Year up for grabs.

Launched last year, the Mobies is a dedicated mobile gaming award ceremony. The Mobies award ceremony will be held on November 19th, with the Esports Awards slated to take place afterwards on November 21st.

Samsung has made consistent strides in the world of competitive esports, with one of the company’s most recent efforts highlighted through a partnership with XSET to bolster women’s esports in North America. Moreover, the electronics manufacturer partnered with esports organisation NRG earlier this year to launch a separate PUBG mobile division.

Simon Callan, Head of Partnerships at Samsung Electronics America, commented: “Partnering with the Esports Awards and the Mobies is such an exciting moment — these prestigious awards play an important role in recognising leading gamers as well as inspiring the next generation of creators.

“We’re thrilled to be a part of these iconic events and I’m looking forward to seeing who wins an award, who brings home the Galaxy Battles title, and how Galaxy devices help these gamers pursue their passion for gaming.”
