The first-ever Evo Award Show aims to celebrate and honor the fighting game community. Taking place in Los Angeles on February 15th, this invite-only event will feature awards across 22 categories, Hall of Fame inductions, and exciting showcases.

The Evo Awards Pre-Show, hosted by Tasty Steve and Hollywood RobTV, kicks off at 5 PM PT on Evo’s official Twitch and YouTube channels. Special guests, including Maximilian Dood, Faye Mata and Evo Award nominees, will also join the show.

The Evo Award Show schedule was revealed in a press release, including plenty of opportunities to acknowledge stand-out games and people in the FGC community. Check out the detailed timeline of the Evo Award Show 2025 below:

  • 5:00 PM PT — Evo Awards Pre-Show
  • 5:15 PM PT — Arcade Carpet Interviews & Marvel vs. Capcom 2 “Tournament of Champions”
  • 6:45 PM PT — Evo 2025 Announcements: Ticketing, hotels, special guests and more
  • 7:00 PM PT — Award Winners Announcements

During the event, three FGC Legends—Tokido, John Choi and Alex Valle—will be inducted into the Evo Hall of Fame.

World Premieres and Game Reveals

Viewers will catch world premieres from major publishers during the show, including Cygames for Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, Arc System Works for HUNTER×HUNTER NEN×IMPACT and UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH II Sys:Celes.

In addition to this, attendees will get an exclusive hands-on demo of SNK’s upcoming title, FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves. The game’s open beta will run from February 20th to 24th. A sneak peek of the Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will also be showcased, featuring Project Justice, Power Stone 2, Capcom vs. SNK 2 and more.

The Evo Award Show 2025, in partnership with Chipotle and NACON, will recognize achievements across 22 categories, including:

  • Best Pop Off
  • FGC Content of the Year
  • FGC Meme of the Year (Presented by Chipotle)
  • Comeback of the Year (Presented by NACON)
  • Match of the Year
  • Best On-Air Duo
  • Best Commentary
  • Best Custom Hardware (Presented by Chipotle)
  • Best FGC Cosplay
  • Best Dressed (Presented by Zenni)
  • Best Button of the Year
  • Tech of the Year
  • Marketing Campaign of the Year
  • Fighting Game Release of the Year
  • They’ve Got Next (Presented by PlayStation Tournaments)
  • Best FGC Local
  • Invitational of the Year
  • Moment of the Year (Presented by Qiddiya Gaming)
  • Best Online Series
  • Content Creator of the Year
  • Commentator of the Year
  • Player of the Year (Presented by Qiddiya Gaming)

This award show will be followed by massive esports tournaments. Evo will return to Tokyo Big Sight, Japan, from May 9th to 11th, featuring STREET FIGHTER III: 3rd STRIKE – Fight for the Future and Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. Fans will also be able to tune in to the largest FGC event of the year at Las Vegas Convention Center from August 1st to 3rd. Event registrations are now open at evo.gg and audience tickets will go on sale on February 15th.

Lastly, Evo will make its debut in France at Palais des Expos in Nice from October 10th to 12th and will expand to Singapore in 2026.
