Following the LTA North Split 1 and the international First Stand tournament, North American League of Legends (LoL) esports is approaching its next chapter.

Here is everything you need to know about the LTA North Split 2, running from April 5th until June 8th.

The LTA North Split 2 will see eight Tier 1 teams compete at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles for a lion’s share of the $160,000 (~£123,700) prize pool.

The winning team will directly advance to the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2025. In addition, both the winner and runner-up will qualify for this year’s Esports World Cup LoL competition.

The first three weeks of LTA North will be dedicated to the Positioning Phase, where single round-robin best-of-one (BO1) matches will decide the Group assignments for phase two.

The Group Stage will take place from April 26th until May 18th, featuring Fearless Draft and best-of-three (BO3) matches. In week seven, a series of Cross-Group Battles will determine seeding and qualification for the Playoffs.

Finally, the ‘Fearless Playoffs’ will commence on May 24th. The top six teams from the Group Stage will battle through a double-elimination bracket using Fearless Draft and best-of-five (BO5) matches.

LTA North Split 2 Teams

The LTA North Split 2 will feature the same team lineup as Split 1:

  • Cloud9 (LCS Slot)
  • Dignitas (LCS Slot)
  • FlyQuest (LCS Slot)
  • Shopify Rebellion (LCS Slot)
  • Team Liquid (LCS Slot)
  • LYON (LLA Slot)
  • 100 Thieves (Provisional Guest)
  • Disguised (Guest Slot)

North American (NA) team 100 Thieves is a promising contestant, having won the league’s first Split in February. However, the roster later suffered a 3-0 defeat against long-time rival Team Liquid during the Cross-Conference Grand Final.

With such even opponents, NA teams Cloud9 and FlyQuest could have a realistic shot at the Split 2 title. During Split 1, they placed second and third, respectively.

How to Watch the LTA North Split 2

The event will be broadcast on the league’s official Twitch channel, with matches beginning at 1 pm PT (8 pm GMT). Moreover, fans can purchase venue tickets for each day.

Those subscribed to the Twitch channel during the split will also receive the time-limited Caitlyn ‘Tell Me Everything’ emote and other benefits.

Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
