The patch notes for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6‘s Season 3 Reloaded update have been unveiled, with a wealth of changes impacting various elements of Treyarch‘s 2024 release.
This update contains the arrival of two new multiplayer maps that could slot into the ever-changing map pool in addition to weapon balancing designed to prevent any overpowered weaponry from dominating the meta.

Two New Multiplayer Maps
Season 3 Reloaded introduces Signal and Haven maps into the map pool for Black Ops 6’s casual game modes.
Throughout the 2025 season, Treyarch has held two map evaluations in order to test the viability of maps for competitive play by integrating them into Black Ops 6 Ranked Play.
Haven features the three-lane structure associated with several maps that have proven popular in previous seasons. But, with the Call of Duty League (CDL) already confirming the Major 4 map pool, it’s unclear if further adjustments will take place before Championship Weekend.
Smoother Movement
Black Ops 6 is the first Call of Duty title to feature Omnimovement, a new movement system enabling players to sprint, slide, and dive in any direction.
From a competitive perspective, the more fluid movement has created a skill gap, with the best players in the world managing to utilise it to gain the upper hand during online and LAN matches.
The latest Black Ops 6 patch notes reveal that an issue affecting the transition between a slide and prone, impacting players using the Hybrid and Tap to Slide settings, has been addressed. As a result, players will notice smoother movement in both casual and competitive play.
Will Season 3 Reloaded Impact the Meta?
The mid-season update for Black Ops 6 also features a wealth of weapon buffs and nerfs affecting 16 weapons within the ever-expanding arsenal.
The AMES 85 assault rifle and Jackal PDW submachine gun have not been affected by any performance changes, meaning the competitive meta used in professional play and Ranked Play will stay the same.
For some, the lack of weapon variety negatively impacts Call of Duty esports, while others believe the weapons used are to prevent overpowered items from influencing the meta.
