The FC Pro World Championship, the season-ending event for EA Sports FC‘s esports circuit, take place at the 2025 Esports World Cup.

The competition will head to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 31st to August 10th. As part of a revamped format for the FC Pro World Championship‘s 2025 edition, the event will include a last-chance qualifier that will also take place in the country.

The last-chance qualifiers will feature up to 512 players competing for a chance to secure a place in the 48-player play-in tournament.

Following the play-ins, 32 players will then take to the virtual football pitch to determine the world champion for EA Sports FC.

In addition to a revamped format, the event will see an expanded prize pool of $1.5m (~£1.1m), enabling EA to offer prize money to players competing in the last-chance qualifiers and play-ins.

2025 marks the first time EA FC’s official esports circuit has appeared at the Esports World Cup. The 2024 edition of the multi-title event featured EA Sports FC 24 as a standalone competition with a $1m (~£746,250) prize pool.

2024’s EA Sports FC event recorded stable viewing figures, registering 108,056 peak viewers. The circuit’s most-watched event remains the global qualifiers for the FC 24 Pro Open, which peaked at 339,988, according to Esports Charts.

EA and Esports World Cup

For this year’s Esports World Cup, EA has expanded its presence at the event with EA Sports FC becoming the second of its offical esports circuits to hold a tournament.

Alongside the football franchise, Apex Legends will hold the Midseason Playoffs at Riyadh’s Battle Royale Stage in Boulevard City from July 10th to 13th, 2025.

The event marks the first time the battle royale title’s esports circuit has held an event in the Middle East.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
