Street Fighter 6 is about to celebrate its two-year anniversary, which will bring in-game free cosmetics and new events for the fighting game community.
In total, there will be five events launching in Street Fighter 6, with one still a mystery. The commemorative items are also yet to be revealed, but Capcom has urged players to check the News section in-game for updates as they arrive.
Street Fighter 6 Celebration Includes Giveaways and Events
Street Fighter 6 came out on June 2nd, 2023, which means we are nearing on its two-year anniversary next month. To celebrate, Capcom has revealed an interesting activation starting on June 2nd.
On X, Capcom stated: “We’re giving everyone some commemorative items next week in gratitude for all the support.”
The items are not revealed just yet, but the FGC expects avatar gear, titles and other similar cosmetics.
There are also five in-game events coming to the game next month. This includes:
- 2nd Anniversary Extreme Battle Tournament
- 2nd Anniversary Drive Ticket Rush
- 2nd Anniversary Challenge Master
- 2nd Anniversary Shop Sale
- Coming Soon
The fifth event is still under wraps and the details of the other four are not outlined by Capcom as of publishing. However, the 2nd Anniversary Shop Sale is self-explanatory. Fans will be anxiously awaiting to find out which skins and other cosmetics will be on sale for the celebration.
There’s also been some talks of a possible 2nd Anniversary Fighting Pass, but Capcom hasn’t announced this. However, a Fighting Pass would be a great opportunity to grind the game a bit during its celebration and win some nice rewards.
June 5th is also the launch of Season 3, which will bring some impactful gameplay changes and add Elana to the roster. Expect to hear more about Season 3 and the 2nd Anniversary celebration from Capcom in the near future.
