ASUS ROG (Republic of Gamers) has announced a partnership with French Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) player Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut.

As a result of the deal, one of Counter-Strike’s most successful players will become an ambassador for the gaming peripheral manufacturer’s keyboard range.

The partnership between the two parties was brokered by Prodigy Agency, an esports representation agency that has represented ZywOo since the start of his playing career.

As part of the deal, ZywOo will become one of the first professional players to help ASUS ROG ‘fine-tune upcoming next-gen keyboards’, offering fans insight into future products designed with esports competition in mind.

“I’m incredibly excited to join ROG,” said ZywOo. “Since I started playing with their keyboards, I’ve been really impressed. It just clicks with my style. It’s been amazing to use them to win so many events, and I’m proud to take this partnership further.”

ZywOo becomes one of several esports players and content creators to collaborate ASUS ROG, which continues to consolidate its position as one of the most recognised brands in the scene.

He joins the likes of Rogue Rainbow Six player William ‘Spoit’ Loftstedt and KOI League of Legends Jungler Kim ‘Malrang’ Geun-Seong on its roster.

“We are beyond excited to welcome ZywOo into the ROG family,” added Kris Huang, General Manager of ASUS Gaming and Worskspace Gear.

“ZywOo embodies excellence at the highest level, and we are committed to developing top-tier gaming gearr that helps pros like him — and gamers everywhere — perform at their absolute best.”

During his tenure as part of the Team Vitality lineup, ZyWoo has won the most career HLTV MVP awards, earning 24 throughout his career.

His most recent accolade came at IEM Melbourne, where the French esports organisation secured victory along with the ESL Grand Slam, earning $1m (~£754,116) in prize money.
