North American esports organisation ENVY has announced its expansion into first-person shooter game The Finals.
In addition to unveiling a roster set to compete in upcoming tournaments, the organisation has become a partnered team of the FPS’s esports ecosystem..
Announced on social media, ENVY has become the first partnered team of The Finals, which continues to expand its esports offering. In May, the title partnered with esports and gaming festival DreamHack to host its inaugural Major at DreamHack Stockholm this November.
ENVY is one of the first esports organisations to field a roster in The Finals. It joins the likes of Pulsar Esports in supporting a trio to compete in tournaments operated by Embark Studios and third-party event organisers.
Aside from announcing ENVY as a partner team, little is known about the wider partner programme for The Finals. In January, Embark Studios revealed the title “is on the road to esports.” Incentives for teams involved in the initiative have yet to be shared by the developer.
For ENVY, The Finals is the latest title the organisation has expanded into since Mike ‘Hastr0’ Rufail re-acquired the brand from OpTic Gaming in January 2025. In addition to The Finals, the organisation has entered several titles, including Marvel Rivals, Halo and Rainbow Six.
Is The Finals Esports Ready?
While the esports ecosystem of The Finals is in its infancy, Embark Studios is managing to attract high-profile organisations to its partner programme.
Embark Studios is yet to reveal other organisations that will join the programme ahead of the Major. The Major begins in September with open qualifiers open to all players, with teams from North America, Europe, and APAC advancing to closed qualifiers.
The top 16 teams will move on to the Major for a chance to compete for a share of $100,000 (~£73,856) in prize money and the opportunity to be crowned The Finals’ first-ever esports champion.
