After three days of Group Stage matches, the FISSURE Playground 1 Playoffs have been set as the first Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) LAN of the new season begins to heat up.
Of the 16 teams attending the event, eight have advanced to the Playoffs after making it through the GSL Group Stage. Esports Insider takes a closer look at the teams that have earned a place in the Playoffs.
TYLOO vs 3DMAX

The Chinese side of TYLOO topped Group C with victories over Virtus.pro and Astralis despite using Weijie ‘zhokiNg’ Zhong as a temporary stand-in.
Joining them in the first quarter-final is 3DMAX, another team heading into the Playoffs with a 2-1 record after wins against Rare Atom and PaiN Gaming.
Result: TYLOO’s impressive form continued in the quarter-final, sweeping aside 3DMAX 2-0 to advance to the semi-final.
Complexity vs SAW
SAW impressed during the Group Stage, defeating FURIA twice en route to securing a place in the Playoffs.
Complexity is the one remaining North American side left in the tournament after topping Group D, beating BetBoom and BIG to bounce back from a disappointing Austin Major.
With both sides heading into the Playoffs with some momentum, there’s a chance the best-of-three series goes the distance.
Prediction: Complexity 2-1
Lynn Vision Gaming vs Astralis
Lynn Vision Gaming is the second Chinese representative competing in the FISSURE Playground 1 Playoffs, after taking the top spot in Group B with a win over 3DMAX and another over PaiN Gaming.
Astralis will aim to rediscover some form with a strong performance in the Playoffs. The Danish organisation defeated MIBR on two occasions after an earlier defeat to TYLOO.
China has continued to cement its position as a top Counter-Strike region, and Lynn Vision has a great chance to join TYLOO in the next round.
Prediction: Lynn Vision 2-1
GamerLegion vs BetBoom
The signing of Jeremy ‘Kursy’ Gast has proven fruitful for GamerLegion, which defeated Wildcard and SAW on its way to the Playoffs.
BetBoom is also fielding a new-look lineup for FISSURE Playground 1, with Artem ‘Artfr0st’ Kharitonov joining as the team’s latest AWPer. With both snipers finding their form, expect a closely fought contest between the two sides.
GamerLegion has looked like one of the strongest teams of the tournament, and with FURIA eliminated, a win over BetBoom could be the catalyst for a deep run in the Playoffs.
Prediction: GamerLegion 2-0
