Activision, the publisher of the Call of Duty franchise, has revealed the prize breakdown for its World Series of Warzone 2025 event.
Ahead of the season-ending event for the battle royale title, the publisher has showcased how the prize pool will be distributed.
The World Series of Warzone is the biggest battle royale tournament operated by Activision. 50 teams from around the world will compete for a share of a $1m (~£742,972) prize pool and the chance to be crowned the world’s best Call of Duty: Warzone team.
While the full prize breakdown has been revealed, details about the event’s venue have not been disclosed. The 2024 event took place in Las Vegas, Nevada, while the 2023 tournament was held at London’s Copper Box Arena.
Last year’s event was won by Team Falcons, which went on to win Warzone’s debut tournament at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The title will return to the multi-title event with its tournament taking place from August 6th to 9th.
Warzone’s esports circuit has continued to grow in recent years, with several organisations expanding into the battle royale title. In May, Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) signed a team to compete in the competition. Ahead of the regional finals, the team was removed due to one of the players receiving a controversial ban.
