Despite getting eliminated in the VCT Pacific Stage 2 group stage, BOOM Esports has survived relegation to the VALORANT Challengers League.

The Indonesian organisation secured 8th place in the Championship Points leaderboard, giving it a chance to defend its VCT spot in Ascension Pacific 2025.

The original rule stated that only the Ascension teams making it to the Stage 2 playoffs would be spared from heading back to Challengers. However, Riot Games later extended the same criteria to the Championship Points standings as well.

BOOM Esports was just one place ahead of DetonatioN FocusMe, and if the latter would have won its next two series, it would have deprived BOOM of any chance to return to the International League next year.

However, DFM lost against Nongshim RedForce (NS) by 2-0, to get removed from VALORANT Champions Paris contention.

Luck has heavily favoured BOOM twice so far — first when the team got promoted to VCT despite finishing second in the 2024 Ascension after Bleed Esports’ removal, and now with NS saving the team from relegation with its win over DFM.

Nongshim RedForce, another Ascension team, needs to win its next three matches to extend its stay in VCT by advancing to Champions Paris.

If the team fails to achieve this goal, it will join BOOM in the upcoming Ascension tournament, scheduled to take place from October 13th to 26th in Bangkok.

TALON is a Single Win Away from VALORANT Champions

While Paper Rex has already clinched a spot at Champions Paris through Championship Points, TALON will need to defeat the Singaporean organisation in the Stage 2 upper finals to book its ticket as well.

The series will take place on August 17th. Nevertheless, the loser will still have another chance to qualify for the Grand Final and Champions via the lower bracket.

Fans can catch the action live on VCT Pacific’s official Twitch and YouTube channels to find out how the journey of all teams unfold.

We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
