Team Liquid has won the Race to World First (RWF) for the World of Warcraft (WoW) Mythic Manaforge Omega raid during its 385th pull on August 24th.

With its victory over Dimensius the All-Devouring, Liquid has also become the first guild to secure every RWF in a WoW expansion.

“BACK 2 BACK 2 BACK! WE SWEEP THE ENTIRE WAR WITHIN AND CLAIM OUR THIRD STRAIGHT WORLD FIRST!!!” exclaimed Liquid Guild on X.

Manaforge Omega is the third and final raid of WoW’s War Within expansion. Kicking off on August 12th, several guilds across the globe raced to become the first to clear every boss of the raid, including its end-boss, Dimensius.

However, Dimensius proved to be a challenging opponent, requiring more than double the pulls of every boss in the tier combined. Four guilds progressed Manaforge Omega’s final boss nearly at the same pace. Entering the final day of the race, the progression of Liquid, Echo and Method varied by only 10%.

Then Liquid Guild rose to the occasion, featuring two tanks, four healers and 14 DPS players. Interestingly, the winning raid composition differed slightly from that of main opponent, Echo, which was likely due to Liquid’s luck with gear splits runs and strategic differences.

What Made Dimensius So Difficult?

Liquid Guild had to perform to near perfection across all three stages of the Dimensius fight while navigating Manaforge Omega’s unique raid mechanics in order to secure the victory. These include traversing vast stretches of the void using movement utility to progress through boss fights.

To highlight the difficulty of Dimensius, here are the top hardest bosses in modern WoW by final pull count:

  1. Uu’nat, Harbinger of the Void (Crucible of Storms): 731 pulls
  2. Kil’jaeden (Tomb of Sargeras): 655 pulls
  3. Archimonde (Hellfire Citadel): 473 pulls
  4. Queen Ansurek (Nerub-ar Palace): 404 pulls
  5. Dimensius the All-Devouring (Manaforge Omega): 385 pulls
  6. Queen Azshara (The Eternal Palace): 357 pulls

With War Within concluded, WoW is now headed towards its Midnight expansion, which is planned to be released within the next six months.
