Wilder World just unveiled its global Super Early Access at Gamescom on August 20th, marking the first time players worldwide can experience its competitive shooter combat arenas.

This initial release allows players to enter Wiami, a neon-lit, Miami-inspired metropolis that serves as the central hub of the Wilder World metaverse.

The launch represents a major development milestone in the project’s roadmap toward an interconnected digital world. This vision began with last year’s release of Wilder Wheels, a high-speed racing game developed in partnership with Lamborghini.

Legend of the WILD $100,000 Tournament

To celebrate the launch, Wilder World is hosting the Legend of the WILD tournament, a global competitive FPS event featuring a $100,000 (~£74,450) prize pool.

Qualifiers will be held from August 25th to September 9th, followed by playoffs. The five finalists will compete at a live in-person finale on September 24th, with all travel expenses covered.

Through Super Early Access, players can now download Wilder World on PC via the Epic Games Store.

The current release focuses on a high-intensity 10-player deathmatch mode, with the ability to switch between first- and third-person perspectives.

This combat experience is set within the expanding urban environment of Wiami, where players—called Wilders—can already race, explore open zones, gather resources, and engage in strategic gameplay.

Future updates will continue to expand the world, with additional features such as concerts, mining, and exploration planned by early 2026. Gamescom attendees received exclusive Samsung-branded playable NFTs, highlighting the role of digital ownership within the Wilder World ecosystem.

The Bigger Picture: Metaverse Competition Heats Up

Wilder World is not alone in chasing the dream of a full digital metaverse. In January 2024, North American esports company GameSquare launched Moonlight Studios to focus on building metaverse-style gaming projects.

The excitement around Wilder World reflects the growing belief that the metaverse is more than a trend.

For players, that means competing, socialising, and even owning unique assets that carry value. Developers also get the chance to test new ideas that go beyond traditional gaming.

We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
